DELSU SUG Speaker, Students Declare Support for Gov. Oborevwori's Second Term, Commend his First-Term Achievements

The Speaker of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) Parliament of  (DELSU), Rt. Hon. Marvellous Ovie Ekama, has openly commended the Governor of , , for what he described as a remarkable and impactful first tenure in office. 

Rt. Hon. Ekama noted that since assuming office, Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated purposeful leadership and a strong commitment to the growth and development of Delta State through strategic infrastructural projects, youth empowerment programmes, and people-oriented policies that continue to improve the lives of Deltans.

 

According to the DELSU SUG Speaker, the governor’s administration, driven by the widely acknowledged MORE Agenda, has brought renewed hope and visible development across the state, strengthening public confidence in governance and reinforcing the belief that Delta State is on a progressive path.

 

He further stated that the student community of Delta State University, being one of the most vibrant and influential youth populations in the state, recognizes the importance of continuity in governance. He emphasized that sustained leadership is necessary to consolidate the progress already recorded under Governor Oborevwori’s administration.

 

“As students and future leaders of Delta State, we are proud to acknowledge the visible achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. His leadership has shown commitment, stability, and a genuine passion for the development of our dear state,” Rt. Hon. Ekama stated.

 

He therefore called on all Deltans—youths, community leaders, stakeholders, and residents—to unite in support of the governor’s aspiration for a second tenure in office, stressing that continuity will further accelerate development and ensure the completion of ongoing projects and initiatives across the state.

 

The SUG Speaker also reaffirmed that the leadership and students of Delta State University stand firmly in support of policies and leadership that promote peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of Delta State.

 

“With the support of the people, the journey toward a stronger, more prosperous Delta State will continue. The students of DELSU remain confident that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will sustain the developmental momentum of his administration,” he concluded.
