Oghenemine Derrick Ikoyo-Eweto is a grassroots politician, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and youth development advocate whose life has consistently reflected a commitment to service, community development, and improving the welfare of the people.

Raised with strong values of integrity, humility, responsibility, and compassion, he developed a passion for helping others from an early age. These values have continued to shape his personal, professional, and political journey.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Delta State University, Abraka. His educational background strengthened his belief that education, innovation, and human capital development remain essential pillars for sustainable growth and societal advancement.

As an entrepreneur and self-employed professional, Derrick Ikoyo-Eweto has experienced firsthand the realities facing small businesses, families, and young entrepreneurs. A dedicated member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Derrick Ikoyo-Eweto has built a reputation as a respected grassroots mobilizer with strong relationships across communities and among diverse groups within Sapele Constituency II.

Driven by his passion for humanitarian service, Derrick Ikoyo-Eweto established the Derrick Oghenemine Ikoyo-Eweto Foundation (DOIF) in 2016 to provide support for widows, vulnerable families, and less privileged children.


Through the foundation, he has donated exercise books and other educational materials to schools across Sapele Local Government Area, helping to improve learning conditions and encourage academic excellence among students.

In recognition of his commitment to peacebuilding and community development, Derrick Ikoyo-Eweto was appointed Community Peace Ambassador to the Governor of Delta State.


He also served as Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, where he contributed to programmes focused on youth empowerment, leadership development, civic engagement, and community advancement.
